The Position:

The Software Interaction Designer will be responsible for designing and protoyping user interaction for consumer and professional IT products for the Diabetes Care product area. They will work closely with business analysts, development team and human factors to design and document the user interface of IT products.
Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited too:
  • Collaborate with development and marketing teams, create personas, develop usage scenarios for those personas from cases and storyboards potential interaction designs
  • Participate in product definition activities with the product team in order to obtain a broad and deep understanding of product needs
  • Create or assist others in creating and maintaining User Interface Requirements documents
  • Participate in the creation and revision of standards, guidelines, and processes for interaction design within DC R&D
  • Maintain proficiency in current technology, practices and methods for interaction designs.

Requirements for this position include:
  • Bachelors degree
  • 2+ years commercial application experience in a project role that involved interaction design
  • Previous experience writing requrements documents, technical documentation or technical papers
  • Experience in a project role involving direct interaction with users or representing users to a technical team
  • Experience or training in graphical design or industrial design
  • Knowledge of Design Control & Commercialization processes
